About Mark Skinner
“I have been in the building construction industry for the last 45 years, having had the pleasure of serving and giving back to areas I grew up in like West Mersea as well as Colchester and Essex. Over the years I’ve developed a wealth of experience in the industry ranging from; groundworks, bricklaying, carpentry, roof tiling and steel erecting and much more.
I started for a local builder after finishing school for a couple of years. After gaining more experience, I found myself working on bigger and more advanced worksites, where I specialised in Steel Erecting, before moving onto construction sites in the 1980s for 10 years. In 1995 I formed my first company when we started trading as 'Island Paving', which is still about today. After finding the company success, a partnership was formed with another local contractor, which lasted until 2007, when 'M.A.Skinner Building Contractor LTD' was established.
To this day, I still carry the same passion and commitment I have to my work, business and valued customers, from when I first started out."
