Established in January 2007, M.A.Skinner Building Contractors Limited is a Construction Company that's been serving West Mersea, Colchester, Essex and the surrounding areas for over 45 years.
We specialise in a vast depth of Services & Trades in the Building Industry. Throughout the years we’ve developed everlasting connections, including our long-serving qualified Sub-Contractors. Some of our workforce have worked with Mark for the past four decades.
All of our Plumbers and Electrical Contractors are fully qualified, registered and insured. We carry out small to large contracts in the commercial and private sectors. Our projects have ranged from £50.00 up to £500,000.

About Mark Skinner
“I have been in the Building Construction Industry for the last 45 years, having had the pleasure of serving and giving back to areas I grew up in like West Mersea as well as Colchester and Essex. Over the years I’ve developed a wealth of experience in the industry ranging from; Ground Works, Bricklaying, Carpentry, Roof Tiling and Steel Erecting and much more.
I started for a local builder after finishing school for a couple of years. After gaining more experience, I found myself working on bigger and more advanced worksites, where I specialised in Steel Erecting, before moving onto construction sites in the 1980s for 10 years. In 1995 I formed my first company when we started trading as 'Island Paving', which is still about today. After finding the company success, a partnership was formed with another local contractor, which lasted until 2007, when 'M.A.Skinner LTD' was established.
To this day, I still carry the same passion and commitment I have to my work, business and valued customers, from when I first started out”.
